Math placement for Mariposa students
Mariposa teaches its own middle grades, and it posts no math levels or placement rules for grades 6–8. Math is taught every day, with the Bridges curriculum in grades 1–5 and College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) in grades 6–8 (Mariposa). Elsewhere in Las Virgenes, a math placement test at the end of 5th grade, with teacher referrals, sets the 6th-grade level: Math 6, Math 6 High or Math 6 Accelerated (LVUSD). Mariposa doesn't say whether its 5th graders take that test, so ask the school. The Las Virgenes placement guide explains the levels. Thousand Acorns Tutoring does not offer placement exam prep.
