The service
Thousand Acorns Tutoring provides tutoring for students in kindergarten through 8th grade, taught by one teacher, in families' homes, online, and in small groups of 2 to 4. The subjects and what each covers are listed on the subjects page.
No guarantees of grades or placement
Tutoring can help a student practice and build skills, but no grade, test score, placement or admission is guaranteed. Thousand Acorns Tutoring does not offer placement-exam prep or test prep, and it is not affiliated with any school or school district.
Prices and payment
Prices are the ones published on the prices page at the time of booking. Payment: Zelle, Venmo or cash, at each session.
Cancelling and rescheduling
Cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice at no charge. The cancellation policy has the details.
Session rules
- An adult stays home for in-home sessions.
- Sessions happen in a common area with the door open.
- Online sessions: camera on, with an adult nearby.
