Who this policy covers
This policy covers the website https://www.thousandacornstutoring.com and the information Thousand Acorns Tutoring, a sole proprietorship run by Adriana Martinez, collects through it, by phone, by text and by email.
What is collected
- From forms: a parent's or guardian's name, a phone number or email address, and, if you choose to add them, your child's grade band, the subject, format, city and school, and a note.
- From calls, texts and emails: your phone number or email address, when you called, texted or wrote, what a text or email says, and any voicemail you leave. Calls to the business number are forwarded to Adriana's phone; they aren't recorded unless you leave a voicemail.
- Automatically: the website host, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and block abuse.
Children
The forms are for parents and guardians, and they don't ask for a child's name. Thousand Acorns Tutoring does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has sent information, contact us and it will be deleted. Online sessions are never recorded unless a parent agrees in writing first.
How it is used
To reply to you, arrange the free consultation and sessions, and keep a record of requests. It is not sold or rented, and it is not used for advertising.
Who it is shared with
Only the services that run the business: Cloudflare (website hosting); Google (the business email, email alerts about new requests and the spreadsheet that records them); Twilio (the business phone number, which forwards calls and receives texts and voicemail); Zoom (consultations and online sessions); and Zelle or Venmo, if you pay that way. Each processes the information only to provide its service.
How long it is kept

Do Not Track
Browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. This website does not change how it works when it receives one.
Security
Forms are sent over an encrypted connection. Email is not fully secure, so please don't send sensitive records such as report cards or evaluations by email unless asked.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date.
